Infotech Group’ system will support security at the Confederations Cup

Infotech Group together with the Head department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan are setting up an automated system for responding to emergency events. Elements of the system were presented to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Vladimir Puchkov on April 18 at a meeting of the government commission in Kazan. In particular, Infotech Group’s development will help the department to effectively arrange preventive measures and provide a quick response to possible emergency events during the preparation and staging of the Confederation Cup, which will be held in the capital of Tatarstan in the summer of 2017.
According to the head of the Crisis Management Center of the Head department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Major of Internal Service Radik Gismyatov, the developments offered by Infotech Group will allow to effectively accomplish a wide range of tasks in the field of comprehensive public safety from the moment of occurrence of the emergency event to its liquidation.
The Infotech Group’s system makes it possible to organize the work of the department's forces and their equipment in the shared information space (from the source of information to a specific unit of personnel or equipment), to set tasks, to monitor their implementation, and to analyze the effectiveness and coherence of activities.
”The analytical component is an important element of the system. Now, we have the tools that enable us to analyze the operational forces’ activities with detailing down to each participant and adjust the algorithms and response plans, reviewing the calculations of personnel and resources in order to achieve targeted response in the shortest possible time,” Radik Gismyatov notes.
Assessing the number of people in the territories at risk and timely informing the public are important aspects of providing comprehensive security. The Infotech Group’s system is able to solve the problem of informing and alerting the residents in the venues of mass events, citizens’ places of residence, in public transport and social facilities (including beaches, parks and squares) through mobile phones and intercoms. This will improve the efficiency and the targeting of the response.
Based on the agency’s estimates, the implementation of the system will reduce the time of response to emergency events by 18%, and will speed up the processing of reporting documents with their subsequent submission to the department’s higher authorities, by 25%.
“In practice, these figures represent hundreds of saved human lives for us,” Radik Gismyatov pointed out.
In addition, the implementation of the system will save the department’s considerable financial and material resources, to ensure comprehensive safety of the population.
